CSU Campus Landscapes in Three Acts

Dr. Haberecht will share his path over 20 years in CSU’s landscape development.  How areas were designed to best suit microclimates across campus, create respites for the mind and eye, and pay tribute to the history of this land grant institution.  Fred has been a steward of CSU’s long-term strategic planning for landscape architecture, and represents Facilities Management and CSU in collaborations with the City of Fort Collins Planning and Transportation departments vision for the future.  Dr. Haberecht is a CSU grad (2009), received the CSU Distinguished AP award in 2019, the Ram Pride Service Award from the President’s Office, is a LEED Accredited Professional, a registered landscape architect in Colorado and a Board Certified Master Arborist.

Fred Haberecht

For more than thirty years, Fred Haberecht has engaged in design and management of projects involving multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and landscape architects. At Colorado State University Facilities Management, he manages the exterior design and operational aspects of CSU’s 2,300-acre campus. His strengths include facilitating consensus solutions in a complex institutional environment and leadership in sustainability initiatives. Fred is a LEED Accredited Professional, Registered Landscape Architect in Colorado, and a Board Certified Master Arborist.
