Inclusivity in Science Panel
October 26, 2021
4:30 – 6:00 pm

WiSCI Network and CSU Ventures will host a pre-watch of the “Picture a Scientist” film Friday October 22 through Sunday October 24, 2021. A link to the film prewatch will be emailed to all registered to attend.

Following the prewatch, join for a virtual panel discussion “Perspectives and Support in Moving Towards Inclusivity in Science” on Tuesday, Oct 26, 2021 via Zoom.

“Picture a Scientist chronicles the groundswell of researchers who are writing a new chapter for women scientists. Biologist Nancy Hopkins, chemist Raychelle Burks, and geologist Jane Willenbring lead viewers on a journey deep into their own experiences in the sciences, ranging from brutal harassment to years of subtle slights. Along the way, from cramped laboratories to spectacular field stations, we encounter scientific luminaries – including social scientists, neuroscientists, and psychologists – who provide new perspectives on how to make science itself more diverse, equitable, and open to all.”
